Third grade was very excited to have our first book
tasting of the year. At this fun event,
our students had a chance to try out several different books—just a small taste
of each—to see if they could find some new series that they want to sink their
teeth into. We paired the scrumptious selection
of books with an assortment of tasty snacks to make for a real 4-star dining
experience.
Mrs. Hreno’s, Mrs. Nilo’s, and Miss White’s classrooms were
transformed into tasting restaurants complete with special placemats, snacks,
menus, and, of course, a huge selection of delectable books. The students got to mingle with students from
the other classrooms as they tried out new books and recorded their thoughts on
special tasting menus. It was fun. It was delicious. It was a HUGE success—all of the students
ended the tasting with some new series that they are excited to feast on. Ask your
little book taster which book they will choose to devour first.
